横山 秀夫（よこやま ひでお、1957年1月17日 - ），日本東京都出生的推理作家。被認爲是日本最有實力和最受歡迎的警察推理小説家。畢業於東京都立向丘高等学校普通科、国際商科大学（現在的東京国際大学）商学系。此後進入上毛新聞社，開始了長達12年的記者生活。1991年以《魯平的消息》（ルパンの消息）獲得第9回三多利推理小説大獎，也以此為契機從新聞社退出，專事寫作。並以自由作家的身份為《少年週刊雜誌》中的漫畫原作、兒童書執筆，還兼差做警備。橫山秀夫是位堅持“一筆入魂”的作家，憑藉著多年記者經驗，1998年以《陰暗的季節》（陰の季節，一譯《影子的季節》）奪得第5屆松本清張獎。由非搜查領域的縣警本部警務部為背景，反轉過去推理小說主流書寫的方向，針對往往被視為檯面下的、不可告人的警察內部事件，延續日本社會派名家松本清張的精神，創作出帶有強烈心理懸疑風格的推理...(展开全部)
